What it is

Three rhythms,
practiced together.

Formation is not consumption. The point is not more content — it is a shape of life held by a circle of people, around a text, over a year. Here is the shape.

Daily devotional

A six-minute audio reflection and reading each morning — short enough to keep, deep enough to settle. Released Mon–Fri with a longer Saturday practice.

Weekly cohort

A live, 75-minute session with the same group of eight to twelve members, led by a trained host. Camera on, scripture open, room for what is actually going on.

Practiced study

An interactive study guide with prompts, journaling, downloadable courses, and a small weekly exercise that mirrors the rhythm of the group.

Seven days, three intensities.

The devotional is daily — small, consistent, never skipped. The peer circle lands mid-week. The live cohort anchors Sunday. The whole shape breathes.

The journey

A year, then a track that gives it away.

Members walk through five stages — from daily practice to replication to certified leader. The last stage is the most important: graduates launch Hearthstead groups of their own in churches, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Consumers become disciple-makers.

The certification track is the offering no major devotional app ships at scale.

    Foundations

    Weeks 1–4

    Establish a daily rhythm and meet your small peer circle. Get comfortable with the study guides and the cadence of the cohort.

  2. 2

    Practices

    Weeks 5–12

    Move from receiving the devotional to shaping your own. Each cohort session includes a member-led reflection slot.

  3. 3

    Deepening

    Months 4–6

    Mentor-tier members add one-on-one direction and access to leadership intensives. School of how this actually becomes a way of life.

    Replication

    Months 7–9

    Practice running a Hearthstead circle of your own — three members, in your living room. Coach-supervised.

  5. 5

    Certified leader

    Month 10+

    Graduates receive the Hearthstead certification and the curriculum. They launch groups at churches, workplaces, and neighborhoods — disciple-makers, not consumers.
